Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife.

F.A.C. Statement Regarding Same-Sex Marriage
The First Apostolic Council of Kentucky and Tennessee, Inc. goes on record adopting the position of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. our parent organization, against same-sex marriage.
We believe that marriage is a most sacred union ordained by God between one man and one woman and we are in conflict with any position that contradicts that scriptural view.
(Genesis 2:24; I Corinthians 7:2; I Timothy 3:2, 12; Titus 1:6)
We believe that in accordance with the scriptures, all sinful desires and inclinations to include homosexual behavior must be resisted and overcome both by the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit and the power of the blood of Jesus Christ which strengthens us.
(Philippians 4:13; Titus 2:11-14)
We shall continue, as Jesus did to love and welcome all individuals into our churches, yet we are called to preach against every variation of sin as described in the Bible in hopes that all people may be transformed into the knowledge and will of Jesus Christ.
